Of course I had to go make the mother of all drums! This baby is over 18 inches tall! I envision her (definitely a 'she') with a some beads on the leather strap, and a henna mandala on the head. (Glazing will present it's own dilemma, but I'm thinking something neutral...)And nor have I made a lotus bowl in many, many months....
I was getting discouraged with both endeavors in the past and my time was consumed with orders...but somehow made room for some inspiration to peek thru after the mayhem of moving.
Feels good.

Both are beautiful. I've never even heard of a doumbek drum but I like it!
