my Cecile Brunner roses are blooming!
gawd, I tell you, nothing makes me happy like the first roses in the garden. Ok, I guess a few other things make me as happy, but right now I'm in bliss.
then I start wanting to take pictures, and then I get all distracted.....

I brought them in the other day and the whole livingroom smelled heavenly from just this little bouquet..sigh.

This is a rose that is famous for climbing and taking over--isnt' this just the most romantic thing ever? Why can't I have this in Arizona?? Maybe in 20 years my little shrub will look like this.

Oh you have me missing my Cecile from my last home. Lovely backlit photo. Sigh.
the first two years mine grew steadily, then watch out, it was prune, prune prune, happy gardening and potting to you.
